Join our team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems and services.

THIS PROJECT & POSITION REQUIRE:

General Requirements:

• Willingness to be on call (approximately 1 week per month)
• Hybrid work model (2 days onsite, 3 days work from home)
• Proficiency in Czech or Slovak is essential, as SREs handle support incidents via phone.
• Willingness to work on a Windows laptop provided by the company

Skills and Technology Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of experience in DevOps, with a preference for experience in the banking domain.
• Strong expertise in Linux, Kubernetes (installation, configuration), and Docker / CRI-O, including monitoring.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, orchestration tools (Ansible/Terraform/UrbanCode/ArgoCD is a plus), and automation.

Your Future Responsibilities:

• Building and enhancing OPS competencies in DevOps
• Managing services at the intersection of application squads and operations teams (INFRA), with a focus on middleware platforms.
• Assisting in the automation of deployment and testing processes.
• Installing new application versions and maintaining their operation, including troubleshooting issues.
• Capacity planning; fine-tuning and optimizing running applications.
• Debugging monitored events.
• Ensuring and coordinating the resolution of customer issues with support teams in both Czech and English.
• Being available for operational on-call duties (if required by SLA).

Skills and Experience We Welcome:

• Basic knowledge of Linux OS, SQL, and networking.
• Installation, configuration, and administration of Kubernetes.
• Experience with IBM HTTP server / Apache / nginx and running applications in containers (Docker), including container monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Java EE, and ELK stack is a plus).
• Familiarity with version control and workflow management tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform, UrbanCode Deployment, ArgoCD).
• Active practical knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl).
